The South West Wales resort of Tenby on the Pembrokeshire coast has a maze of narrow streets, a picturesque harbour and magnificent bays with sandy beaches. We have included excursions along Carmarthen Bay as well as Wales’ smallest city, St. David’s. Our hotel offers two nights of entertainment.
Day 1 After your door to door taxi transfer, we travel to Tenby via Swindon and Newport, making suitable refreshment stops along the way. We arrive at our hotel late afternoon.
Day 2 This morning we travel to Aberglasney Gardens, in the beautiful landscape of the Tywi Valley. On our return we visit the pretty village of Saundersfoot before returning to our hotel mid-afternoon.
Day 3 A full day tour west today around the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park to the historic town of Pembroke. The town’s centrepiece is its magnificent Norman Castle, which is one of the finest and bestpreserved strongholds in the country. This afternoon we continue to the tiny city of St. David’s, dominated by its impressive cathedral.
Day 4 A free morning in Tenby. This afternoon we journey across the bluestone Preseli Mountains and along the Teifi Valley to Cenarth. This charming conservation village has spectacular waterfalls, and we visit the National Wool Museum.
Day 5 After a leisurely breakfast we travel to the National Botanic Garden of Wales, where we find over 100,000 plants and also the remarkable British Birds of Prey Centre. Take a walk around the aviaries, enjoy a talk by one of the falconers or watch a flying display (weather dependent).
Day 6 We say farewell to Wales and make our way home making suitable comfort stops along the way arriving back in the local area late afternoon.
