Day 1 After a taxi pick up from your home, we have a stop in Evesham before continuing to our hotel in Shropshire with time to freshen up before dinner.
Day 2 We travel to Ironbridge, an important centre of the industrial revolution and now a delightful town of tea rooms and antique shops. We also visit Blists Hill, a fascinating recreation of a Victorian town complete with staff in authentic costume.
Day 3 Today we cross the border into Wales and visit Llangollen. We have some free time in the town and take a trip on the Llangollen Railway, starting in Corwen and travelling along the picturesque Dee Valley.
Day 4 Spring Steam Gala! We drive to Kidderminster to the Severn Valley Railway where you have a Day Rover Ticket allowing you to take as many journeys as you wish! There will be many visiting locomotives and you will find events and exhibitions at Highley at the Engine House Visitor Centre. You could take the train down to Bridgnorth, a town divided in two and linked by a remarkable cliff railway.
