Itinerary

Day 1 After your taxi pick up, we travel across to Gloucester in time for lunch. We continue to our hotel in Carmarthen where we have a welcome drink before dinner for a chance to meet your fellow guests.

Day 2 A free morning to explore Carmarthen. This afternoon we visit the wonderful Aberglasney Gardens, in the beautiful landscape of the Tywi Valley, where the camellias, hellebores and daffodils should be in bloom.

Day 3 We visit Tenby this morning and then to Pembroke. Here we have a guided tour of the castle, once the magnificent home of the Earls of Pembroke, and enjoy tea and scones in the Castle Café.

Day 4 Today the National Botanic Garden of Wales, which was created within a beautiful Regency park, with over 100,000 plants and the Great Glasshouse as its remarkable centrepiece. Conservation is an important element of the gardens and it is home to some of the most endangered species on the planet. The afternoon is free.

Day 5 We travel to Cardiff for free time over the lunchtime period. We then cross the Severn Bridge and continue to the south coast and our taxis.

Ivy Bush Royal Hotel

Once a favoured retreat of Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton, our three-star hotel is within walking distance of Carmarthen. Sympathetically modernised, the hotel retains its old world charm. All rooms have TV, telephone, hairdryer, ironing facilities and hospitality tray. The hotel has a bar, spacious lounge and terrace, a gym and sauna, WiFi and a lift.
