Day 2 A full day excursion beginning with the Paignton & Dartmouth Railway. We travel on the steam railway from Paignton to Kingswear, which travels seven miles along the spectacular Torbay coast, and through the wooded slopes bordering the Dart Estuary. We then cross on the passenger ferry to Dartmouth where you have free time to explore. In the afternoon we board our boat for the one-hour cruise to Totnes, where our coach will be waiting. (Order of day depends on tides.)
Day 3 A morning excursion to Buckfast Abbey, in a beautiful wooded valley beside the River Dart. You are free to explore the Abbey Church and beautiful gardens. We return to Dartington Hall in the afternoon for a hosted tour of the gardens and a Devon Cream Tea.
Day 4 Today we visit Torquay beginning with Babbacombe Model Village. Walk among thousands of miniature buildings, people and vehicles set in delightful scenes in four acres of award-winning gardens. The rest of the day is free in Torquay.
Day 5 We depart after breakfast and have a stop in Winchester or Salisbury for shopping and a chance to get some lunch. We reach the local area mid-afternoon to be met by our taxis.
