Our Christmas is based in the pleasant market town of Carmarthen, in South West Wales. Enjoy traditional entertainment and visits to Cardiff, Swansea, the Gower Peninsula and Tenby.
Day 1 After your taxi pick up, we travel across country with a lunch stop along the way. We continue to our hotel in Carmarthen to be greeted with tea and scones. This evening cocktails and canapés are followed by dinner. There is entertainment every evening of our stay.
Day 2 Christmas Eve - Mid-morning we head for the Gower Peninsula, which promises beautiful scenery whatever time of year. Lunchtime we find ourselves in Swansea. We return to Carmarthen and this evening after dinner we have seasonal songs and carols. St Peter’s Church is a short walk away for those who would like to attend Midnight Services.
Day 3 Christmas Day - Happy Christmas! A morning visit from Father Christmas is followed by traditional roast turkey with all the seasonal trimmings. The afternoon is for relaxation, the King’s Speech and possibly a walk and then an informal buffet dinner followed by a film.
Day 4 Boxing Day - A morning drive out to see the ancient walled town of Tenby, where hardy locals will be taking their annual winter dip in the sea. We return to the hotel for a light lunch and a relaxing afternoon. After dinner we have our final night of entertainment.
Day 5 Leaving our hotel after breakfast, we travel to Cardiff for free time over the lunchtime period. We then cross the Severn Bridge and continue to the south coast and our taxis.
Once a favoured retreat of Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton, our three-star hotel is within walking distance of Carmarthen. Sympathetically modernised, the hotel retains its old world charm. All rooms have TV, telephone, hairdryer, ironing facilities and hospitality tray. The hotel has a bar, spacious lounge, WiFi and a lift.
