We invite you once again to enjoy a Christmas in great surroundings close to home at the Solent Hotel in Hampshire. As part of the Thwaites Hotel Group, you can expect thoughtful extra touches such as a fluffy robe and slippers in your room. We visit Chichester on Christmas Eve and see Snow White in Bournemouth on Boxing Day.
Day 1 Christmas Eve - A taxi collects you from your home to join our coach and then it is on to Chichester with its magnificent cathedral and fine shopping streets radiating from the historic Town Cross. We reach our hotel in time for afternoon tea in the bar and lounge. This evening we begin with mulled wine and carols before dinner in the restaurant. If you choose to go to Midnight Services, a hot toddy will await your return. (Transport not included.)
Day 2 Christmas Day - Happy Christmas! Start your day with a hearty breakfast in the restaurant and then relax and enjoy the leisure facilities before your traditional Christmas Lunch beginning with a Champagne Reception. The King’s Speech will be accompanied by Christmas cake and tea in the lounge and after this evening’s buffet there will be a Quiz Challenge.
Day 3 Boxing Day - free time to explore and have your packed lunch, before taking our seats for the matinee performance of Snow White! Tonight’s carvery dinner is in the restaurant.
Day 4 After a leisurely breakfast, we depart our hotel and make our way homewards, arriving around lunchtime.
Our modern four-star hotel is situated between the coastal towns of Southampton and Portsmouth. With its open log fireplaces, it offers a warm and friendly atmosphere for your Christmas break. The hotel leisure facilities include swimming pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, gym and a forest nature trail in the grounds. Bedrooms have TV, telephone, fridge, ironing facilities, hairdryer, robes and slippers and hospitality tray. The hotel has WiFi and a lift to all floors, some rooms have steps within.
