Based in the historic town of Tiverton, this tour allows you to discover Exeter Cathedral, explore the dramatic beauty of Exmoor with a trip on the West Somerset Railway, and relax with a cream tea as you cruise through the glorious Devon countryside by horse drawn barge.
Day 1 A taxi picks you up from home and takes you to your Woods coach, which then travels west to Bridport before continuing to your hotel in mid Devon.
Day 2 A morning mystery drive, before travelling by coach to the Grand Western Canal where we enjoy a delightful horse-drawn cruise with a cream tea on board.
Day 3 An early start as we travel to Bishops Lydeard to join Britain’s longest standard gauge heritage railway for a forty-mile return journey winding through the Quantock Hills and along the Exmoor coast. Free time for lunch in Minehead, before returning by train to Bishop Lydeard to meet your coach.
Day 4 Driving south to Exeter we have arranged for a guided tour of the magnificent cathedral followed by free time to explore the town or historic quayside. This afternoon enjoy an included cream tea at our hotel or explore Tiverton with its lively shopping centre, castle and museum.
Day 5 Departing our hotel after breakfast we travel east and have a stop in Salisbury for refreshments and sightseeing. We continue to the local area arriving late afternoon.
