Start the year at some of the finest snowdrop collections in the country. Visit Batsford, Welford and Colesbourne Park, where you might bump into Sir Henry or Lady Elwes, who are very actively involved in showing the remarkable collection in their private garden. We also visit the STEAM Museum, see some beautiful villages of the Cotswolds and enjoy a 50% bar at our hotel!
Day 1 After pick up by taxi, we make our way to Welford Park in Berkshire, where a magniﬁcent snowdrop display awaits us. We continue to our hotel and there will be a welcome drink before dinner so that you have a chance to meet your fellow guests.
Day 2 We have time in Cirencester before making our way to Colesbourne Park. This private garden boasts over 350 snowdrop species as well as hellebores, cyclamen and other winter ﬂowering shrubs.
Day 3 We make our way via Chipping Norton to Batsford Arboretum, home to one of the ﬁnest botanical collections in the country, a beautiful visitor centre, gift shop and café. We return to our hotel via some pretty Cotswold villages.
Day 4 Departing our hotel, we travel the short distance into Swindon and STEAM, the Museum of the Great Western Railway. The museum is housed in a beautifully restored Grade II listed railway building in the heart of the former Swindon railway works, located right next to Swindon's Designer Outlet. We have an included two-course lunch before travelling back to the local area, meeting our taxis late afternoon.
Our four-star hotel is situated 3 miles from Swindon and features pleasant restaurant, bar, lounge and a well-equipped gym. Bedrooms have TV, telephone, hairdryer and hospitality tray. The hotel has WiFi and a lift.
