A lovely early break exploring the delights of the North Wales coast and Snowdonia National Park. Our hotel offers a warm welcome, great food, two nights of entertainment and a free bar*.
Day 1 After being picked up from your door and taken to your tour coach, we travel west across England and into Wales, reaching our hotel near Llanberis late afternoon.
Day 2 Today we head to the royal town of Caernarfon on the eastern shore of the Menai Strait. We visit the castle, one of Wales’ most prized architectural treasures and home to the Royal Welch Fusiliers Museum. Our route back to Llanberis is through more of the beauty of Snowdonia.
Day 3 This morning we drive into the National Park and explore the unique Italianate village of Portmeirion, where stunning houses and pavilions overlook Cardigan Bay. The rest of the day is free in Llanberis, where you might like to visit the National Slate Museum, housed in the Victorian workshops that once serviced the enormous Dinorwic slate quarry above it.
Day 4 We cross the Menai Strait onto the Isle of Anglesey, for a visit to Beaumaris, a pretty town with pastel painted houses, and a wide range of shops, tea rooms and pubs. We cannot leave the island without visiting the James Pringle Weavers Shop in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch!
Day 5 Leaving our hotel after breakfast, we travel homewards making suitable refreshment stops along the way
