Join us on this visit to The Queen’s country retreat – Sandringham and also explore East Anglia with visits to Saffron Walden, Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds and take a ride on the Nene Valley Railway.
Day 1 After a taxi pick up from your home, we make our way via Saﬀron Walden to the outskirts of Peterborough and our hotel. Enjoy a welcome drink before dinner with your fellow guests.
Day 2 We travel south into Suﬀolk to the historic gem of Bury St Edmunds - an important market town with a richly fascinating heritage, medieval architecture, elegant Georgian squares and the glorious cathedral and abbey gardens.
Day 3 Into Norfolk for a visit to Sandringham, the much-loved country retreat of HM The Queen, and private home to four generations of British monarchs since 1862. The house is set in 24 acres of stunning gardens in the heart of the 8000-hectare estate, edged with ﬁelds of lavender. We have included entrance to the house, gardens and the museum.
Day 4 This morning we visit the wonderfully conserved town of Stamford. On our return we visit Wansford and join the narrow-gauge Nene Valley Railway for a return journey. We then return to our hotel.
Day 5 Leaving our hotel after breakfast, we travel to the university city of Cambridge, where there will be time for lunch and sightseeing. We then continue to the local area where we meet our taxis.
