Set against the stunning backdrop of Woburn Abbey and within 42 acres of Abbey Gardens, "The Gardener’s Garden Show" offers one of the best locations of any show in the UK. We also enter the horseracing world with a fascinating visit to the National Horseracing Heritage Centre at Newmarket and visit some of the historic towns which make this area such a wonderful destination.
Day 1 A morning taxi pick up followed by a drive northwards to St Albans for a little free time. We continue to our hotel, arriving late afternoon.
Day 2 We drive to historic Ely, where we have an included tour of the magniﬁcent cathedral, followed by some free time. You might like to visit Oliver Cromwell’s House, Ely Museum or just relax in one of the many cafés. Your afternoon is free to explore Cambridge.
Day 3 Today we spend a fantastic day out in Newmarket, visiting the National Horseracing Heritage Centre where we can explore the National Horseracing Museum, meet retired racehorses and view a stunning collection of pictures in the National Gallery of British Sporting Art.
Day 4 Woburn Garden Show! Now in its 11th Year, and set in the Abbey’s beautifully landscaped gardens, the show oﬀers unparalleled access to award-winning exhibitors and nurseries; informative talks; rare access to the private garden of the Duke and Duchess of Bedford; free garden tours with RHS qualiﬁed gardeners; the Artisan’s Food Hall and plenty of retail therapy; live entertainment and musical performances. As if this wasn’t enough, you also have entrance to the Abbey.
Day 5 After breakfast, we head homewards, making suitable refreshment stops along the way, and arriving late afternoon. Please
