Spend Christmas in the glorious Derbyshire countryside with a drive through the National Park, a visit to Buxton and the pantomime at the famous Opera House.
Day 1 After our door to door service, our coach makes its way north with suitable refreshment stops along the way, arriving at our hotel late afternoon. We are welcomed with sherry and mince pies. During dinner there is light entertainment.
Day 2 Christmas Eve - Today we visit Buxton with time to browse the shops and get some lunch before the matinee pantomime - Cinderella in the Buxton Opera House. This evening enjoy mulled wine and carols with a local choir, and for those who wish to attend Midnight Services, hot chocolate awaits your return. (Transport not included.)
Day 3 Christmas Day - Merry Christmas! After your Bucks Fizz Breakfast, you could explore the grounds before our traditional Christmas lunch with all the trimmings. Enjoy coffee and mince pies while watching the King’s Speech, and finish the day with a delicious buffet and a festive quiz.
Day 4 Boxing Day - After a leisurely breakfast, we have a scenic drive through the Peak District National Park. Back at Shrigley Hall we have a cream tea and time to relax before dinner and a final evening of entertainment.
Day 5 Departing after breakfast, we travel south with suitable refreshment stops along the way. We reach the local area early evening.
The 19th-century Shrigley Hall Hotel is situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park. The hotel stands in its own 262-acre estate overlooking the Cheshire Plain. All rooms are elegantly furnished and are equipped with TV, telephone, hairdryer and hospitality tray. The hotel has WiFi and a lift, but there are some steps throughout.
