Take to the water to see seals from the North Norfolk Heritage Coast and relax on a paddle steamer through the glorious Norfolk Broads.
Day 1 We join our coach and drive north to the cathedral town of Ely where we stop for refreshments. We continue to our hotel near Norwich arriving late afternoon.
Day 2 We drive through the Norfolk countryside to Holt, an old- fashioned Georgian town of impeccable colour-washed houses, antiques and picture galleries. Moving on, we reach the coast at Blakeney, famous for its seal colonies. We join the boat at Morston Quay for a 1-hour trip to Blakeney Point and the seal colonies, with commentary provided by the experienced crew*.
Day 3 Today the city of Norwich for the morning to see the sights, enjoy some retail therapy or just relax, enjoy lunch, and watch the world go by. The cathedral in Norwich is well worth a visit, as is the cobbled Elm Hill district. This afternoon we have a drive to Horning where we join the Mississippi Paddle Steamer ‘Southern Comfort’ for a delightful sail around the Norfolk Broads.
Day 4 Our final outing takes us to the seaside town of Great Yarmouth - Norfolk’s best-loved holiday resort.
Day 5 Departing after breakfast, we travel via Lavenham, with its many half-timbered buildings dating from the 15th Century. We arrive in the local area late afternoon.
Our hotel is situated in 350 acres of the beautiful Wensum Valley, near Norwich. The hotel boasts comfortable restaurants, bar and lounge, indoor swimming pool, sauna, spa bath, steam room and gym. All bedrooms have TV, telephone, WiFi, hairdryer, and hospitality tray. There is no lift, but plenty of ground floor rooms. Rooms are accessed by a covered walkway (not enclosed).
