Itinerary

Day 1 After enjoying our door to door service, we join the coach to drive north to the Cathedral town of Ely where we stop for refreshments. We continue to our hotel near Norwich arriving late afternoon.

Day 2 This morning we have a guided tour of Norwich and the afternoon is free for your own exploration.

Day 3 A scenic drive today via Fakenham to Holt. Here we take a steam train journey on the North Norfolk Railway – The Poppy Line to Sheringham. We continue to Felbrigg Hall, home to a fascinating collection which is one of the largest in the National Trust, where we have access to the 17th-century house and extensive gardens.

Day 4 A day out steaming and cruising through the Broads. We travel to Aylsham to join the Bure Valley Railway for the 9-mile trip to Wroxham. There is free time to get something to eat before we transfer to Horning to board the Southern Comfort, a Mississippi paddle boat for a 1½-hour cruise on the Broads.

Day 5 Today we visit Holkham Hall, a breathtaking 18th-century house on the coast with an outstanding art collection and wonderful panoramic landscapes.

Day 6 Leaving after breakfast, we travel via Lavenham, with its many half-timbered buildings dating from the 15th Century. We arrive in the local area late afternoon.

Dunston Hall Hotel

A majestic, Elizabethan-style mansion, built in 1859 and lovingly restored to its former glory, set in 150 acres of beautiful, wooded Norfolk parkland. All bedrooms are en suite and have TV, telephone, hairdryer, ironing facilities and hospitality tray. The hotel also has a state-of-the-art gym, indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room.
