Day 1 After our door to door service, our coach makes its way north with suitable refreshment stops along the way, arriving at our hotel late afternoon.

Day 2 We travel into the Peak District and visit Haddon Hall, dating from the 12th Century and surrounded by fine Elizabethan terraced gardens overlooking the River Wye. We have a guided tour of the hall and free time to explore the gardens. We spend our afternoon in Bakewell.

Day 3 A glorious day out through the Peak District to see some beautiful Derbyshire villages and the breathtaking scenery of the National Park. During the day we travel over the Snake Pass, along the Ladybower Reservoir and visit the Upper Derwent Visitor Centre. In the afternoon we visit Buxton.

Day 4 We travel to Salford Quays to board our Mersey Ferries ship for a leisurely six-hour cruise along the whole length of the legendary Manchester Ship Canal. We travel the 35-miles of the canal, enjoying spectacular scenery and a lively commentary along the way, telling the story of how this magnificent waterway shaped the city of Manchester and the North West of England. We pass some spectacular scenery and see some of the region’s most stunning architectural and natural sights. Refreshments and snacks can be purchased on board. We disembark at Pier Head, Liverpool and make our way back to the hotel by coach.

Day 5 Departing after breakfast, we travel south with suitable refreshment stops along the way. We reach the local area early evening.
