We have been very lucky to secure summer space at the renowned Tynedale Hotel, on the Victorian Promenade in Llandudno. We visit Snowdonia, Anglesey, travel on one of the famous ‘Little Trains of Wales’, and enjoy entertainment every night at our hotel.
Day 1 After a morning taxi pick up from your home, we travel northwards and into Wales, arriving at our hotel in Llandudno late afternoon where we are greeted with tea and cake.
Day 2 A free morning to enjoy Llandudno, where you might like to take a stroll along the wide promenade, indulge in some shopping or relax at our hotel. In the afternoon, we visit the glorious Bodnant Garden.
Day 3 We travel through the Vale of Conwy and into the Snowdonia National Park to reach Blaenau Ffestiniog to board the narrow-gauge railway for a dramatically scenic ride over the mountains to Porthmadog. From here on to the famous Italianate village of Portmeirion, the setting for the TV show ‘The Prisoner’, standing on a rugged clifftop overlooking Cardigan Bay. A pretty route back through the National Park brings us back to our hotel.
Day 4 Our excursion today is to the Isle of Anglesey, across the Menai Strait. We visit Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch and Beaumaris, an historic town with medieval castle, gaol and courthouse. We return to our hotel mid-afternoon.
Day 5 A free day to relax and explore. We have included a ticket for the hop on/hop off bus so that you can explore Llandudno, Conwy and the surrounding area at your leisure.
Day 6 Leaving our hotel after breakfast, we make our way southward via the Valley Centre near Evesham, where we stop for our lunch break. We then continue homewards, reaching our taxis early evening.
Our four-star hotel is centrally located on Llandudno’s iconic Victorian promenade, just 20 metres from the beach and a short walk from the High Street and the pier.
