Enjoy a wonderful cruise in Liverpool Bay, and discover some of the fantastic attractions in this corner of Cheshire and The Wirral.
Day 1 We pick you up from your door, then our coach makes its way north with suitable refreshment stops along the way, arriving at our hotel late afternoon.
Day 2 We travel the short distance to Anderton for a cruise including the famous boat lift, which was built in 1875 and provides a 50ft vertical link between the River Weaver and the Trent and Mersey Canal. Our afternoon is spent in Chester, with its famous medieval black and white houses, picturesque city walls and Roman Amphitheatre.
Day 3 After breakfast, we travel into Liverpool and have free time to discover this fascinating city. Visit the many museums, art galleries and shops in the city centre; or visit Albert Dock, home to many attractions such as The Beatles Story and The Tate Liverpool. In the afternoon we board an iconic Mersey Ferry for a fantastic three-hour cruise into Liverpool Bay, with expert commentary provided to give you insight into the sites as we sail.
Day 4 Driving up on The Wirral Peninsula, we visit Port Sunlight, where we enjoy a guided tour of the village, built by William Hesketh Lever for his factory workers and named after his famous Sunlight Soap. This afternoon we visit award-winning Ness Botanic Gardens, overlooking the Dee Estuary.
Day 5 We bid our hotel goodbye and travel southwards, with a short stop at the National Memorial Arboretum before arriving in the local area early evening.
