Day 1 We travel to Kent making suitable refreshment stops along the way, arriving at our hotel late afternoon.
Day 2 This morning we journey to charming Whitstable for free time to explore the town, with its rich maritime history and arts culture. In the afternoon we travel along the coastline to Mount Ephraim Gardens. This stunning example of Edwardian horticulture features an arboretum, lake and water garden with Japanese rock garden and bridge and an ornamental grass maze.
Day 3 Today we visit the charming town of Rochester, where the awe- inspiring cathedral and historic castle await your exploration. Wander along the High Street, and through the quaint old town with its charming cobbled streets. This afternoon at Leeds Castle, we journey through nearly 900 years of rich history, immersed in a lavish blend of period architecture, and cherished family heirlooms.
Day 4 We visit the walled medieval city of Canterbury, where you might like to visit the magnificent cathedral, the Roman Museum or stroll in the Franciscan Gardens on the banks of the Great Stour. Spend all day exploring, or join your driver on a trip to the coastal resort of Herne Bay.
Day 5 We leave the hotel after breakfast and travel to Chatham and its Historic Naval Dockyard. This iconic location serves as the backdrop for the beloved series, “Call the Midwife”. We have a guided tour with exclusive access to the captivating Call the Midwife Exhibition, and free time to explore the museum. After our visit we depart for our local area.
