Day 1 After a morning taxi pick up, we make our way northwards with suitable refreshment stops along the way. We arrive at our hotel late afternoon.

Day 2 Today we visit Preston Park and Hall Museum, then take a cruise on the River Tees aboard the Teeside Princess. In the afternoon we travel through Bilsdale and the beautiful scenery of the National Park to Helmsley, where we have time for a stroll and some lunch. On our way back to the hotel we have fine views of the moors and the Vale of York.

Day 3 We begin with a visit to Thirsk, where you might like to visit the World of James Herriot Centre. We then have a ride on the delightful Wensleydale Railway. Our last stop of the day is in Richmond, high above the River Swale.

Day 4 Travel over the moors, through picturesque Hutton-le-Hole to Pickering, where we join the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for a journey through the moorland to Whitby. Free time here to explore the narrow streets or climb the steps to Whitby Abbey.

Day 5 Leaving our hotel after breakfast, we travel southwards with suitable refreshment stops, reaching the local area late afternoon.
