Visit historic houses and cities of East Anglia, discover the fascinating stories of horse racing and the learn about the work that goes into producing future champions of the turf.
Day 1 A morning taxi pick up followed by a drive northwards to St Albans for a little free time. We continue to our hotel arriving late afternoon.
Day 2 We drive to historic Ely, where you might like to visit the magnificent cathedral, Oliver Cromwell’s House, Ely Museum or relax in one of the many cafés. This afternoon we visit Anglesey Abbey, Lord Fairhaven’s luxurious country house packed with paintings, silverware, books, clocks and blessed with 114 acres of glorious gardens.
Day 3 Today we spend a fantastic day at the National Horseracing Museum where you can explore the five-acre site, meet retired racehorses and view a stunning collection of pictures in the National Gallery of British Sporting Art. We have an included light lunch and in the afternoon we visit the National Stud, for a walking and driven tour of this beautiful 500- acre site.
Day 4 We travel the short distance to Cambridge to enjoy a guided tour of this beautiful city. The rest of the day is free in Cambridge, or your driver can take you back to your hotel to enjoy the leisure facilities.
Day 5 After breakfast, we head home, making suitable refreshment stops along the way.
