Join us aboard this lovely CroisiEurope ship as we explore four wonderful river valleys, cruising past romantic castles, through steep sided vineyards and unspoilt picturesque landscapes. Day 1 We make our way to Dover for the short sea crossing to Calais. Then across France and into Belgium for our overnight hotel near Namur.
Day 2 Continuing southwards, we visit the pretty town of Vianden in Luxembourg, before joining our river cruise ship at Remich in the late afternoon. There is a welcome cocktail before dinner on board and evening entertainment.
Day 3 This morning we have an included guided tour of Luxembourg, the capital city of the Grand Duchy, where you can discover the main sites on foot and by coach. We rejoin the ship in Remich for lunch. The afternoon has an optionalexcursion to a winery, exploring the underground passages and enjoying a tasting. The excursion ends with free time in the historical centre of Remich. Back on board, more entertainment as we cruise toward Saarburg.
Day 4 Spend the morning cruising along the Saar and Moselle toward Trier, arriving late morning. There is an optionalguided tour of the city, to discover its well-preserved Medieval and Roman buildings, impressive churches and the Porta Nigra. We return on board to cruise toward Cochem.
Day 5 Arriving in the small Medieval town of Cochem, we have free time or an optional guided tour of Cochem Castle, sitting on a mighty crag above the Moselle. The afternoon is spent cruising along the Moselle, one of the most beautiful tributaries of the Rhine, arriving in Koblenz late afternoon.
Day 6 This morning we cruise on the most beautiful section of the Rhine. All along the banks of the meandering river you can see castles and Medieval villages set amidst the renowned vineyards and also the legendary Lorelei Rock. Arriving in Rüdesheim, there is an optional excursion on a small train stopping at a wine tasting cellar, followed by a visit to the Museum of Mechanical Music. Back on board, we sail toward Mannheim.
Day 7 We arrive in Mannheim early morning and leave on an included excursion to the romantic town of Heidelberg, where we have a tour and free time to explore the historic centre. We rejoin our ship in Heidelberg and spend the afternoon cruising along the Neckar and Rhine towards Strasbourg. Tonight enjoy a Gala Evening on board.
Day 8 We disembark in Strasbourg and have some free time to explore the centre of this pretty town before making our way to our overnight hotel near Reims.
Day 9 Departing after breakfast, we make our way northwards to Calais for the short sea crossing to Dover. We continue to the south coast, reaching our taxis late evening.
Our ship has 72 cabins all with picture windows and private facilities with showers. Each is equipped with TV, radio, safe, hairdryer and airconditioning. There is a delightful panoramic lounge with a dance floor and bar, a comfortable restaurant, and a large sundeck. There is no lift, and main deck cabins are accessed down stairs.
