The Cornish Riviera is outstandingly beautiful and remains a Woods favourite. Based in the historic fishing town of Falmouth, with its picturesque narrow streets and harbour, we visit the Roseland Peninsula, visit Trelissick Garden, take a river cruise and visit the wonderful Cornish Seal Sanctuary.
Day 1 After being picked up from your door, join our coach and we travel west, making refreshment stops and reaching our hotel late afternoon.
Day 2 Travel across the Fal Estuary by ferry to St Mawes for free time to explore the picturesque harbour. Then meet our coach for the drive up the Roseland Peninsula to Trelissick Garden, which boasts a huge array of plant species and stunning views.
Day 3 This morning we visit Truro, with its impressive cathedral and delightful shops. We return to Falmouth for a 2-hour pleasure cruise onboard the MV Princessa through the beautiful, rugged landscape and the scenic waters of the Helford River & Frenchmans Creek.*
Day 4 A free day to explore Falmouth.
Day 5 A scenic drive this morning via Helston with views of St Michael’s Mount. This designated ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ has whitewashed cottages clustering around tiny harbours. We visit the Cornish Seal Sanctuary set on the picturesque Helford Estuary near Gweek.
Day 6 We return home via Dorchester, stopping en route for refreshments.
