Discover behind-the-scenes secrets of Yorkshire’s favourite show at The Emmerdale Studio Experience in Leeds! We also delve into Brontë Country, take a journey into the past by steam train and visit beautiful Brodsworth Hall.
Day 1 After picking you up from your door, we travel north via Leicester to reach our hotel in the small town of Tankersley, south of Barnsley. A welcome drink will be served before dinner for a chance to meet your fellow guests.
Day 2 After a leisurely breakfast, we visit Brodsworth Hall, a beautiful Victorian country house, with 130 years of family life on show. Life ‘below stairs’ is on view in the servants’ wing and the house is surrounded by restored grand gardens in miniature. In the afternoon we head for the centre of Doncaster, to enjoy tea and cake in the Georgian Tearoom.
Day 3 We travel into Brontë Country today to the village of Haworth, nestled on the edge of the West Yorkshire moorlands. There is a chance to have lunch and visit the shops along the steep cobbled main street and to see the Brontë Parsonage Museum. We complete our day with a return journey on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.
Day 4 This morning we visit the Emmerdale Studio Experience in Leeds, a purpose built attraction in the former ITV studios, showcasing the entire ‘lights – camera – action’ process of producing an episode of Emmerdale. A fun and interactive tour learning how the show is created. We continue into Wharfedale and to Esholt, where the show was filmed for decades, and have time to wander the lanes and visit ‘The Woolpack’.
Day 5 We make our way south stopping at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire for lunch (not included). We continue into our local area, to meet our taxis and travel home.
