Day 1 After your door to door service, we travel eastwards and up the high road to take in the views from Birling Gap before a stop at the ‘Beachy Head Story’ to discover more about this beautiful part of the South Downs. Our afternoon is free in Eastbourne to explore or have tea and biscuits in our hotel. After dinner enjoy a festive quiz or bingo.
Day 2 The day is free to explore Eastbourne, one of England’s best loved seaside resorts. Explore the shops, walk on the seafront, or relax in our hotel, enjoying tea and Christmas cake in the afternoon. A traditional Christmas Dinner is served this evening, with a visit from Father Christmas and entertainment.
Day 3 We visit Bateman’s, the beautiful 17th-century home of Rudyard Kipling, set in the stunning landscape of the Sussex Weald. The hall and dining room are cosy with oak panelling and fine furnishings, and the study feels as though Kipling could return at any moment. We return to our hotel mid-afternoon for mince pies. After dinner, more entertainment.
Day 4 A half-day excursion to Rye, with its quaint charm, 18th-century cobbled streets and breathtaking views of Romney Marsh. A free afternoon is followed by dinner and entertainment.
Day 5 Leaving our hotel after breakfast, we travel to Brighton for Christmas shopping or a stroll along another lovely seafront. Midafternoon, we continue our journey home.
