Explore wonderful coastlines, visit sites frequented by Ross Poldark and take in the Eden Project. Our base at the Rosemundy House Hotel is a favourite with Woods customers and the area is filmed as Poldark’s Nampara Valley.
Day 1 After a home taxi pick up, we travel through Dorset and Devon making suitable refreshment stops along the way, arriving in St Agnes late afternoon.
Day 2 We dip into Poldark country today beginning with a panoramic route through Perranporth, Winston Graham’s hometown and inspiration for the Poldark novels. Then to Charlestown, the pretty heritage harbour where the port scenes were filmed.
Day 3 Our day is spent at the marvellous Eden Project, a fantastic development where huge biomes house the largest ever rainforest in captivity with stunning plants, exhibitions and extraordinary gardens. We return to St Agnes mid-afternoon.
Day 4 We explore the gorgeous scenery of the west coast today, with views of St Michael’s Mount from Helston and Penzance, our lunch stop. This afternoon we visit the delightful harbour town of St Ives. We return to our hotel late afternoon.
