Newcomers Offer
Day 1 We make our way north, with suitable refreshment stops, arriving at our hotel in Chester late afternoon. Tonight, we have an included glass of wine with dinner.
Day 2 We travel up to Liverpool, a remarkable city which we enjoy first with a guided driven tour. The rest of the day is free for you to explore - you could visit the many attractions at Albert Dock, the city’s shops or museums, or take a ferry across the Mersey.
Day 3 A free morning to enjoy Chester, to stroll along the unique shopping streets – the two-tier Rows, discover the city walls, the cathedral, Roman amphitheatre, visit the zoo or relax in one of the many pleasant cafés. In the afternoon we have a sightseeing cruise with commentary on the River Dee.
Day 4 This morning we visit Port Sunlight, built by William Hesketh Lever for his factory workers and named after his famous Sunlight Soap. We then return to our hotel for a cream tea, or more time to explore Chester. We have an included glass of wine with our final dinner.
Day 5 We bid farewell to Cheshire and travel home.
Originally opened in 1860, our four-star hotel retains its Victorian grandeur while offering all the modern comforts you would expect. Bedrooms have TV, telephone, WiFi, ironing facilities, hairdryer and hospitality tray. The hotel has a lift.
