Itinerary

Day 1 After collection from your home by taxi, we make our way northwards to our hotel in Chester, with suitable refreshment stops along the way. Enjoy a drink before dinner for a chance to get to know your fellow guests.

Day 2 A day in Liverpool begins with a driven guided tour to give you an insight into the history of this incredible city. We then have free time at St George’s Place to explore the Christmas Market. We complete our Liverpool experience with a journey on the iconic Mersey Ferry, before returning to our hotel.

Day 3 Today is a free day to enjoy Chester, where you could explore the almost complete city walls, stroll along the famous ‘Rows’ or spend your time browsing the festive stalls and tasting mulled wine and sugared churros at the Christmas Market.

Day 4 Our morning is spent at Port Sunlight, the idyllic garden village built for the Sunlight Soap factory workers and home to the Lady Lever Art Gallery. We have included a driven tour to give you more insight into this remarkable project. The rest of the day is free in Chester, but make sure you are back at our hotel to enjoy the included cream tea, and in the evening, a glass of wine with dinner.

Day 5 After breakfast, we travel south with a stop in Stratford-upon-Avon for lunch and sightseeing. We reach the local area early evening.

Best Western Premier Queen at Chester

Originally opened in 1860, our four-star hotel retains its Victorian grandeur while offering all the modern comforts you would expect. Charles Dickens and Lillie Langtree were regular guests and you can imagine them relaxing here when you see the vaulted ceilings, spectacular staircases, and regal public areas of this stately building. The hotel also has treatment rooms at the Secret Sanctuary. Bedrooms have TV, telephone, WiFi, hairdryer and hospitality tray. The hotel has a lift.
