A lovely tour based in the iconic seaside town of Bournemouth with visits to explore beautiful gardens, the southern coastline and gorgeous Dorset Scenery.
Day 1 Making our way through Hampshire and the New Forest, we have a stop in Lyndhurst where you will be able to get lunch. We continue to our hotel in Bournemouth to be greeted with tea and biscuits.
Day 2 Today we visit Swanage via Sandbanks and enjoy a return heritage train ride on the Swanage Railway to Norden through the Purbeck Hills with views of the ruins of Corfe Castle along the way. We then have some free time to stroll along the promenade at Swanage or visit the shops before we return to Bournemouth.
Day 3 A free day to enjoy Bournemouth.
Day 4 After a leisurely breakfast, we travel to Compton Acres, acknowledged as one of the finest privately-owned gardens in England. In the afternoon we transfer to Poole Quay where we have a 90-minute cruise around the harbour aboard the Dorset Queen, a 1938 vintage motor yacht and enjoy a Dorset cream tea on board.
Day 5 Departing mid-morning, we travel the short distance to Wimborne, before making our way back to the local area and meeting our taxis.
Our family-run four-star hotel is situated on the East Cliff, with awardwinning garden frontage and terraces overlooking the bay. Bedrooms have TV, telephone, WiFi, safe, ironing facilities, hairdryer and hospitality tray. There is a lift to all floors but not all rooms can be accessed with no stairs. There is some evening entertainment.
