An early tour in the iconic seaside town of Bournemouth with visits to Wimborne, Christchurch, Bovington Tank Museum, Russell Cotes Art Gallery, and the historic properties of Kingston Lacy & Highcliffe.
Day 1 Making our way through Hampshire and the New Forest, we have a stop in Lyndhurst where you will be able to get lunch. Keep your eyes open for the wild New Forest ponies as we continue to our hotel in Bournemouth.
Day 2 Today travel the short distance to Wimborne, where you have time to explore. Perhaps visit the Minster, Priest’s House Museum or the Model Town. After lunch, we depart for Grade I listed Highcliffe Castle, and discover how this building has survived two major fires and undergone extensive restoration to bring it back to the beautiful house we see today.
Day 3 After a leisurely breakfast, we take a short walk to The Russell Cotes Art Gallery & Museum where we have included a guided tour, the perfect way to discover the story of this unique seaside villa and the wonderful collection of paintings, sculptures and treasures from around the world . The rest of the day is free to explore Bournemouth, but make sure you don’t miss the tea, coffee & cake at our hotel this afternoon.
Day 4 We start our day with a visit to Bovington Tank Museum, where we find a unique collection of over 300 vehicles and hear the first-hand accounts of those who fought in them. Our afternoon is spent at Kingston Lacy, a lavish family home built to resemble a Venetian Palace, and home to the largest private collection of Egyptian Artefacts in the UK.
Day 5 Departing mid-morning, we stop in Christchurch, before making our way back to the local area and meeting our taxis.
