Day 1 We commence our holiday and travel west and arrive at our hotel late afternoon.
Day 2 Following breakfast, our day commences with a visit to Bodmin Jail, where we'll delve into the intriguing history of the 18th-century jail and unravel the stories of its ill-fated inmates. Emerging into the daylight, we proceed to Pencarrow House and Gardens in Cornwall. Nestled on the fringes of Bodmin Moor, this Cornish Georgian treasure promises a wealth of experiences for all to enjoy.
Day 3 We begin in the picturesque fishing village of Padstow, with a colourful harbour surrounded by pastel-washed medieval houses. We then visit Prideaux Place, surrounded by gardens overlooking a deer park and the Camel Estuary to the moors beyond.
Day 4 Today, we explore the captivating Lost Gardens of Heligan, a remarkable rediscovery in 1991 after 70 years of neglect under brambles. Roam through the Exotic Fruit Houses, the elegant Italian Garden, and the lush subtropical 'jungle' garden. At lunchtime, we head to the charming Mevagissey fishing port, where you can enjoy a leisurely afternoon and purchase lunch.
Day 5 We’ll leave the hotel after breakfast, and make our way home.
Our three-star family-owned hotel is situated on the outskirts of the historic town of Bodmin in the heart of the county. The hotel has a bar, bistro, gym, golf driving range and 18-hole parkland golf course (extra charge). Bedrooms have TV, telephone, WiFi, hairdryer, and tea/coffee making facilities.
