A lovely autumn break exploring the delights of North Wales & Cheshire, as the scenery bursts into reds, golds and all the colours of the season. We enjoy two nights of entertainment during our stay. We have many sole use rooms available on this tour.
Day 1 We travel northwards and into Wales, arriving at our hotel late afternoon where we are greeted with tea and bara brith.
Day 2 A drive through the pleasant countryside brings us to Chester for the day. Visit the half-timbered galleried shops in The Rows, walk the red sandstone city walls, visit the cathedral, or just relax in one of the many teashops. Later, we enjoy a scenic River Dee sightseeing cruise with commentary about the local area and its history.
Day 3 After breakfast, we make our way to Liverpool, and begin our day with a coach driven guided tour of this fascinating city. You will then have free time in Albert Dock to get some lunch or visit one of the many attractions. The rest of the day is free for your own exploration.
Day 4 We are off across the Denbighshire Moors this morning to the pretty Vale of Conwy, Llanrwst and Betws-y-Coed. We stop here and have time for lunch before we continue through the scenic countryside to Llangollen, in the Dee Valley. We stay awhile here before returning across the spectacular Horseshoe Pass.
Day 5 We make our way south, with a stop to visit the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. We then continue toward the local area making a suitable refreshment stop along the way.
Our independently run three-star hotel is located close to the historic market town of Mold, set in the attractive North Wales countryside. The hotel has a comfortable restaurant and bar, and the 106 bedrooms have TV, telephone, WiFi, hairdryer and hospitality tray. Bedrooms are on the ground and first floor and the hotel does not have a lift.
