Kingston Lacy was an opulent family home built by William John Bankes to resemble a Venetian Palace, with lots to explore from the lavishly decorated interiors and beautiful artworks to the wonderful outside landscapes. Visit the rooms displaying paintings by renowned artists like Rubens, Van Dyck and Brueghal, the house is like miniature galley and includes Bankes’ collection of ancient Egyptian artefacts. Wonder through the Japanese Garden to the Kitchen Garden and explore this vast estate and allow time to enjoy refreshments or lunch from the Stables Café.
