We travel to the Isle of Wight to visit two of the Island’s most popular and quite different gardens.
First, we visit Mottistone Gardens, a National Trust property with shrub-filled banks, hidden pathways and colourful herbaceous borders. After a break in Godshill to buy lunch we visit Ventnor Botanic Garden. The mild and sheltered climate enables an unrivalled collection of subtropical and exotic plants.
National Trust members can enter Mottisstone Gardens for free (membership card needed on the day). Cost of the excursion for NT members £50
