Feel uplifted as you take your daily exercise by over 25,000 tulips proudly standing to attention and providing a visual feast of spring colour.
A Kaleidoscope of brightly coloured parrot, Darwin, peony and triumph tulips will declare that spring has well and truly arrived at Hever Castle & Gardens this April!
The epitome of elegance, tulips look spectacular planted en masse in either a kaleidoscope of mixed colours or in a uniform colour palette. The Italian Garden at Hever Castle will play host to the largest of the tulip planting displays with a kaleidoscope of colours fanning down the length of the gardens towards the Loggia and the lake.
Close to a thousand tulips called ‘Affaire’ will greet visitors at the Castle gate, while a new bed of over 4,000 tulips planted in block colours will mimic a flowing rainbow beside Two Sisters’ Lawn. The Italian Garden with its ornate sculpture will provide a stunning backdrop for more formal tulip displays in geometric patterns. Over on Pergola Walk, tulips of every hue have been allowed to mix and float together to form a colourful coat that Joseph himself would envy.
Over 3,500 Apeldoorn Elite tulips, in a striking crimson and bright yellow, will bloom around the walls of the famous Castle interplanted with thousands of wallflowers ‘Fire King’ and ‘Golden Bedder’.
This trip involves a lot of walking. You can pay on the day to enter the castle (if there is space available).
