In celebration of The Queens Platinum Jubilee we are offering a trip to see Buckingham Palace including a special display marking Her Majesty's Accession Exhibition.
Buckingham Palace is the London residence of Her Majesty The Queen. It is one of the few working royal palaces remaining in the world today. During this trip you will see some of the State rooms and highlights will be the Throne Room, The Picture Gallery, The Ballroom and The White Drawing Room.
As part of the display there are Portraits of The Queen taken by Dorothy Wilding in 1952 with a collection of Her Majesty's personal jewellery worn for the portrait sittings. A piece of the jewellery on display will be The Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara worn by Her Majesty during this sitting. Queen Mary gave the Tiara to her granddaughter, Princess Elizabeth as a wedding present on the occasion of her Marriage to Prince Philip.
