Lemon Festival<\/strong>, Menton France
\n13 Feb – 2 March\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The Cote d’Azur has staged carnivals each February since the end of the 19th century. More than 300 professionals work on the Menton Lemon Festival<\/a> using an\u00a0incredible 145 tonnes of citrus fruits to create the spectacular sculptures and parade of floats.<\/p>\n

This year celebrates the theme of \u201820,000 Leagues under the Sea\u2019 \u2013 and it promises to immerse visitors in a submarine world, guided by the event mascot, the quirkily-named John Lemon.<\/p>\n
