Dorset Heavy Horse Farm Park – Wednesday 16th July 2025

A great day out for all the family with something for everyone. Enjoy talks and displays, tractor and trailer rides, and traditional Heavy Horse Wagon Rides. Meet over 20 rescued heavy horses, plus donkeys, miniature ponies, pigs, goats, alpacas, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, ducks, snow dogs, and more!

Sherborne Castle & Gardens – Friday 25th July 2025

Built by Sir Walter Raleigh in 1594, Sherborne Castle is set in 40 acres of glorious ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped gardens. Inside, the castle houses an impressive collection of art, furniture, and porcelain, including Raleigh’s original kitchen.

Enjoy a self-guided tour of the house and plenty of time to explore the gardens filled with herbaceous borders, sweeping lawns, and magnificent trees.

Godinton House & Gardens with Ploughman’s Lunch – Thursday 7th August 2025

Longstock Water Gardens & Hawk Conservancy – Friday 15th August 2025

Begin your day at Longstock Water Gardens, a six-acre haven described as the “finest water garden in the world.” Enjoy a peaceful stroll through beautifully maintained aquatic landscapes.

The day continues with a visit to the Hawk Conservancy Trust, home to over 150 birds of prey. Experience flying demonstrations and learn about ongoing conservation efforts. Facilities on-site include a restaurant, play areas, and gift shop.

Kentish Lady River Boat & Allington Castle – Tuesday 26th August 2025

Cruise the scenic River Medway aboard the Kentish Lady before arriving at Allington Castle – one of Kent’s hidden gems. This 13th-century castle features formal gardens, lakes, moats, and beautiful courtyards.

The guided walking tour includes the Great Hall, gardens, and historical highlights of the privately-owned estate. Afterwards, return to the boat for tea, coffee, and cake during the return journey to Maidstone.
