We return to the excellent Warner’s adult-only hotel at Thoresby Hall, allowing you to see the best of the Peak District National Park and also have time to enjoy the huge range of activities and entertainment for which Warner’s are so famous.
Day 1 We travel north with suitable refreshment stops along the way. We reach our Warner’s hotel near Nottingham with time to relax before dinner.
Day 2 This morning we travel back in time at Crich Tramway Village, home to the National Tramway Museum. You can enjoy unlimited rides on the world-renowned trams through the lovingly restored period village. The afternoon is free to enjoy Thoresby.
Day 3 Spend the morning exploring the city of Lincoln, with free time to visit the many interesting shops or visit the magnificent cathedral, one of Europe’s finest Gothic buildings (entry not included). The afternoon is free for you to explore the activities and facilities at Thoresby Hall.
Day 4 We head into Nottingham for a leisurely 2-hour cruise along the River Trent, during which an Afternoon Tea of sandwiches and warm scones with clotted cream and jam, plus hot drinks, will be served. Listen to an informative live commentary along the way, highlighting historical and local points of interest whilst you enjoy the views from the river.
Day 5 We make our way south, with a stop to visit the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. We then continue toward the local area making a suitable refreshment stop along the way.
The majestic Thoresby Hall Hotel and Spa is a Grade 1 listed mansion in 30 acres of beautifully landscaped Victorian gardens on the edge of Sherwood Forest. Leisure facilities include swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gym, croquet, putting green and much more! There is a café, two bars, a library and you can enjoy entertainment every evening and a full programme of activities during the day. Our bedrooms are in the new wing and have TV, telephone, hairdryer and hospitality tray. There is WiFi and a lift.
