Itinerary

Day 1 We travel across country with a lunch stop along the way. We continue to our hotel in Carmarthen to be greeted with tea and scones. Dinner is followed by relaxing piano music from the hotel pianist in the lounge.

Day 2 NEW YEAR's EVE Mid-morning we head for the Gower Peninsular, which promises beautiful scenery whatever time of year. Lunchtime we find ourselves in Swansea. We return to Carmarthen to prepare for the New Year Gala Dinner, followed by musical entertainment to bring in the New Year.

Day 3 NEW YEAR'S DAY Happy New Year! This morning we have a short sight-seeing drive to the ancient walled town of Tenby. Explore the town with its many little side streets or take a stroll at the harbour. We return to the hotel for a light lunch and a relaxing afternoon with an option for bingo. After dinner we have our final night of entertainment.

Day 4 Leaving our hotel after breakfast, we make our way back across the River Severn, with a suitable stop for an included lunch, and continue to the south coast.

Ivy Bush Royal Hotel

Once a favoured retreat of Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton, our three-star hotel is within walking distance of Carmarthen. Sympathetically modernised, the hotel retains its old-world charm. All rooms have TV, telephone, hairdryer, ironing facilities and hospitality tray. The hotel has a bar, spacious lounge, WiFi and a lift.
