Hosted by the charming Tynedale Hotel, who pioneered the original mock cruise break over 30 years ago, you can expect the warm welcome, exceptional service, outstanding food, and spectacular entertainment replicated from that of a world class cruise ship, all whilst ‘docked’ on the delightful Llandudno seafront. The experience starts with the issue of a passport as you embark which gets stamped at each new port of call, providing you with a great memento of your cruise holiday. Wake up each day in a different country as themed decorations and props, along with ‘local’ cuisine and unique entertainment provide the essence and spirit of each destination. Extras such as a welcome reception, afternoon tea each day, pre-dinner drinks, late-night snacks, casino and deck games, and a loyal, friendly crew, will ensure you experience the feeling and atmosphere of being on board a real cruise. And of course, our excursions by coach are also included to take in the best of the local area.
Day 1 Ochos Rios (Jamaica). We travel to Wales, arriving at M.V. Tynedale late afternoon. Board the ship and tuck into tea and cake whilst the crew take care of your luggage. After settling in, re-join the group for complimentary aperitifs and canapés whilst the crew make their introduction, before a delicious themed dinner is served by top notch chefs. Tonight’s Jamaican style entertainment is sure to get you dancing!
Day 2 Cologne Rhine (Germany). Breakfast is served as we dock in joyous ‘Cologne’. On this free morning we have included a ticket for the hop-on, hop-off bus so that you can explore Llandudno, Conwy and the surrounding area at your leisure. Return to afternoon treats and games on board before spending the evening on the Rhine. Enjoy a German themed dinner and entertainment, before we set sail for our next port of call – Skopelos!
Day 3 Skopelos (Greece). Wake up in sunny ‘Skopelos’! Our excursion today is by coach to the Isle of Anglesey, across the Menai Strait, where we visit Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantys -iliogogogoch and Beaumaris. Return midafternoon to prepare for a traditional Greek celebration! Greek food and cabaret entertainment will be aplenty, plus lots of party spirit. We set sail to our final destination – Thailand.
Day 4 Phuket & James Bond Island (Thailand). Welcome to beautiful ‘Phuket’. Today we take a scenic drive through the Snowdonia National Park via Betws-y-coed to Caernarfon. We have some free time to explore Caernarfon before we return to the M.V. Tynedale for our final evening. Dress to impress as you are invited to the James Bond inspired black tie Captain’s dinner party! Get your 007 on with casino games, a themed dinner and cabaret that makes the most of our destination. We anchor up and head back to our home port of Llandudno.
Day 5 We disembark after breakfast and make our way home with suitable stops along the way, meeting our taxis early evening.
‘M.V. Tynedale’, the original land-based cruise ship, offers four-star accommodation and is centrally located on Llandudno’s iconic Victorian promenade, just 20 metres from the beach and a short walk from the High Street and the pier. Each ‘cabin’ in this Victorian ‘vessel’ is unique and has TV, telephone, WiFi, hairdryer and hospitality tray. There is a lift to most rooms, and fantastic entertainment every evening.
