Itinerary

Day 1 We travel to Dover for our Channel crossing to Dunkirk. From here we take the motorways across France and Belgium and into The Netherlands, reaching our hotel on the edge of Alphen ann den Rijn late afternoon.

Day 2 We visit the world famous Keukenhof Gardens, with plenty of time to enjoy the gardens created in 1949 as a showpiece for the Dutch flower industry, and to walk among the magnificent displays of tulips and other bulbs which bloom in their millions. DAY 3: Today we visit some small towns to soak up the atmosphere of the King’s Day celebrations. First to Gouda, a pretty town famous for its cheese and its delicious syrup waffles. Then we visit Delft – a miniature Amsterdam with its own canals and famous chinaware, and we have an included visit to the Royal Delft Museum. As this is a national holiday, many shops will be closed, but the restaurants and cafés will welcome us all. DAY 4: On our return journey we visit Antwerp, with free time for shopping and lunch. We then travel back to Dunkirk for our afternoon sea crossing. We reach the local area early evening.
