Waddesdon House & Gardens

A National Trust treasure, built at the end of the last century for Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild to house his extraordinary collection of 18th century art treasures. On arrival you will have a chance to look around Waddesdon Manor's dramatic architecture and spectacular furnishings.

After which you can walk around one of the finest Victorian gardens renowned for its seasonal displays, colourful shrubs, giant tree ferns, parterre and restored pleasure garden. There is also a children’s garden and the introduction of three life-size elephant sculptures in support of the Coexistence Campaign. The rococo style aviary houses a splendid collection of exotic birds, and the wine cellar with over 15000 bottles of Rothschild wines.

Refreshments are available in the restaurant and other outlets in the grounds, and there is a chance to shop for wine, gifts and other bespoke purchases.

There is a comfort stop on the outward journey.
